Product Description
***This page was previously for Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief which is no longer on the market. Colgate has replaced that product with the Tom’s of Maine Rapid Relief Sensitive Toothpaste.***
As a dental professional, it is essential to stay informed about the latest oral care products on the market, particularly those that cater to specific dental concerns. One product that has been very popular is Tom’s of Maine Fluoride-Free Rapid Relief Sensitive Toothpaste. Owned by Colgate, this toothpaste appears to be a worthy alternative to the discontinued Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief, which was popular among my patients. The ingredients in this toothpaste are scientifically backed for their significant effectiveness in reducing sensitivity. In this review, I will discuss the key features of Tom’s of Maine Rapid Relief Toothpaste and why it might be an excellent choice for those with sensitive teeth.
Formula: Tom’s of Maine Rapid Relief Sensitive Toothpaste is fluoride-free and formulated with naturally derived ingredients, making it an appealing option for those who prefer natural products. The toothpaste contains arginine and calcium carbonate, which work together to seal open dentin tubules, helping to alleviate tooth sensitivity.
Sensitivity Relief: This toothpaste is designed to provide rapid relief for sensitive teeth. Many of my patients have reported experiencing less sensitivity after just a few uses. The toothpaste’s effectiveness can be attributed to its ability to create a protective barrier on the tooth surface, which helps reduce pain associated with sensitivity. There are studies (below) showing the effectiveness of these ingredients for sensitivity relief.
Taste and Texture: Tom’s of Maine Rapid Relief Sensitive Toothpaste has a mild mint flavor that is not overpowering, making it suitable for those who prefer a more subtle taste. The toothpaste has a smooth texture that is gentle on sensitive teeth and gums.
Environmentally Friendly: Tom’s of Maine is known for its commitment to the environment and sustainable practices. The company’s products, including this toothpaste, are cruelty-free and do not contain artificial colors, flavors, fragrances, or preservatives.
Conclusion: In conclusion, Tom’s of Maine Fluoride-Free Rapid Relief Sensitive Toothpaste is a promising option for individuals with sensitive teeth who prefer natural oral care products. Its unique formula provides effective sensitivity relief, while its mild taste and environmentally friendly ethos make it a worthy addition to your daily dental care routine.

Thanks, Dr. Nejad. I am looking for this toothpaste as well. The link you posted from December 4 connects to a product that is listed as out of stock, and it is shown as unknown when it will be back. Do you have any other suggestions where we can purchase it?
Dr. Matt Nejad says
Hi Darryl- Are you also in the UK? When I posted that it was available, not sure what is going on but it seems like the supply of this toothpaste is low everywhere. Unfortunately, I don’t know any other way to get it. It is no longer available on Amazon or elsewhere from what I can see, but I hope it comes back soon because it has been very effective. Best -MN.

Hello everyone, I wanted to share an update regarding Colgate ProRelief toothpaste. According to a representative from Colgate, it appears that this toothpaste is no longer available for purchase in the United States. However, Colgate now offers TOMS OF MAINE RAPID RELIEF toothpaste, which is also owned by Colgate and appears to have similar ingredients to ProRelief. Some patients have reported that TOMS works just as well as the discontinued ProRelief toothpaste. I hope this information is helpful, and I’ll be sure to update this page accordingly.

I have been buying this Pro-Argin toothpaste from Great Britain for a number of years now and it has greatly helped my sensitivity problems with my teeth. Now I find it it is no longer available on Amazon and I can’t find it anywhere else.
Any recommendations?
